Online reviews are supposed to help people make informed purchase decisions quickly; however, many systems don’t deliver the value well enough because they don’t respond to special needs for 1) different products; 2) different audiences, resulting in countless review sites existing today. We strongly believe that a true solution to the ever-changing needs for reviews is a dynamic review process where the human mind meets technology, the Scofen approach.

At Scofen, instead of deciding in which way products should be reviewed, we leave that decision to our hosts. Our hosts design a review system according to their audiences’ needs. They get to choose everything regarding ways of reviewing a product including rating style, written reviews, pictures, videos and more, as well as the design appearance for their target audiences.

The approach combines the human mind and technology, and this is what we called the Scofen approach.

What does a host do?

A host creates channels to help her audience compare products using various review methods such as ratings, written review or video review.

What are the requirements to become a host?

A host should be a person who enjoys comparing products for others, who is also patient and good at details.

Do I need to know any programming or computer-related skills to become a host?

No, anyone who can turn on/off a computer has the skills to do a host’s work. It's more about tending to the needs of your audience.

What separates hosts from normal reviewers?

Hosts manage the channels they created, normal reviewers simply participate.

Is there a commitment for host to work?

Being a host is very casual and flexible; it is supposed to be fun. So, no commitment.

Is there a limit on products a host can list?

A host can list as many products as they see fit. She can also create pages for any products.

Why should I apply to become a host?

If you love reviewing things, you should consider becoming a host with us. We are the only place in the world that’s dedicated to serving reviewers of all kind. If you have passion for reviewing things, we can help you easily set up the ideal review system you love ,and we can expand your audience reach, letting more people know about you.

Hosts are the key in the Scofen concept. The central activity of our platform is to support them so they can become industry influencers helping their audiences compare products. We help them set up the channels they need in order to serve theor audiences.

Become a host

The Scofen platform can be understood as an arena provided to anyone who has the intention to become an influencer to compete with others in the same field, by hosting review channels with their understanding of a good review approach. To become a host, one simply submits an application on the Scofen main site. If approved, she will become a host, and can then start setting up her channels.

Benefits of being a host

We have one simple mission, and that is to help our hosts succeed and become influencers. It is not easy for reviewers to make a name out of all the noise without outside resources, even if they are good. And that’s what we are here for, we can help reviewers

  1. easily set up a web page as the base for their audiences
  2. We strive to provide our hosts the best review tools that are easy to use, ready to deploy for their channels.

  3. find their audiences
  4. It is our plan to make Scofen a place where people come for purchase guidance and fun. We will recommend you to them if we believe you are a good match.

  5. cross-network with other hosts
  6. Nothing would help you grow like cross-networks do. There might be some hosts more popular than the others. And when they are, it is actually good news for less popular ones. Because when popular ones attract more audience, less popular ones get to share the glory. We make sure our platform is built in a way that the cross-network effect is at its maximum so you can walk with the giants, not be crushed by them.

  7. get rewarded properly
  8. When you help your audience make good decisions, you create value. When that value accumulates to a certain point, we make sure you are properly rewarded.

If someone makes a purchase decision and finish a purchase under the guidance of a host’s product evaluation, 50% of the commission earned from this sale will go to this host.

In a nutshell, at Scofen, the only thing our hosts need to worry about is creating good content; we take care of the rest of the business so they can focus on serving their audiences better. The key to Scofen’s success is the successes of hosts, and we we help them become influencers in their selected domains and help them retain good portion of the value they create when they help their audiences make good decisions.
